Crepuscular Rays

crepuscular rays

Last night I came home from my dayjob (yay, dayjob, and there was much rejoicing!) and as I walked into the house, I saw the sun behind some clouds creating some of the strongest crepuscular rays I’ve seen.  I ran inside to grab my Canon G9 for a quick handheld snapshot.  Light fascinates me as it plays not only upon the sky particles, but also on the ground.  Most of the time, I can’t find a good enough composition to warrant making an image with the 4×5, but sometimes it’s nice to just play as I did here.
