Book: God’s Middle Finger

Not that long ago, I read God’s Middle Finger by Richard Grant.

When I was younger, I was an avid reader.  I’d read a book or two a week.  The library couldn’t keep up.  Then I went to college and college taught me to skim and I no longer enjoyed reading.  Then I started watching movies with Netflix.  Now, I’ve started to enjoy reading again.

God’s Middle Finger was a book that I could read like in the days of my youth.  I flew through it in a few days despite the almost 300 pages.  I was riveted.  Richard’s account of his experience in the Sierra Madre is both terrifying and exhilarating, both funny and sad, and a rich literary performance.  I can easily say it was one of the best books I’ve read.
