Desert Oasis

Off in a side canyon of Aravaipa, things start to dry up a bit. But, there was a trickle of water headed down this way. Spring was definitely holding on here with wildflowers blooming in clumps growing out of the pockets of rhyolite.  This pool was deep, though not particularly big.  I couldn’t see the bottom at all, so this tank probably always has water in it. Luck for the critters that live here.

  1. Hey Laurent,

Aravaipa Canyon looks like a beautiful place, I have enjoyed your series of photos from there – hard to believe it is part of the Arizona desert.
