Hiking Aravaipa

When you hike Aravaipa Canyon, expect to get your feet wet.  There is a lot of trail on the sides of the creek, but you will cross and wade the creek up to your knees at times. Shoes that drain well are preferable.  I used heavy wool socks and Chacos and I was comfortable that way.  If rocks getting in your shoes bother you, a pair of well ventilated sneakers might do you good.  Some shorty gaiters would probably be helpful in keeping sand and gravel out of the shoes.
