It was really fun to see the 4×5 version of this image turn out so well. I honestly thought I’d wasted the film.

Stunning – Both this and the previous post. Looks like you had some great opportunities this fall. I really enjoy the color contrasts in this one.

Thanks, Joel. I have had some great opportunities. I feel fortunate to have been able to witness some spectacular scenes – some of which I felt able to photograph!

Glad to see you took the time to bust out the large format despite the wind – this is a beautiful image, and probably looks even better at 4×5!

Thanks, Ron. When we first got there the wind was marginally bad. A couple hours later I had no choice, I would have broken. It was sure a fun time with some good people – Harley, Jade, Rick Dunn & Jennifer. I think the experience makes the image (for me) more than anything else 🙂

Great view and extraordinary conditions captured very well. Great work.

Thanks, Tero. Trying to learn to appreciate all forms of light, not just those “magic hour” moments.

Thanks, Cindi! If all I do is brighten someone’s day even for a moment, I’m happy 🙂

The 4×5 is so much nicer. I am glad you made it.

Thanks, Youssef. I only got 2 opportunities to really click the shutter and was waiting for the wind to stop knocking the camera around (as you’ve probably experienced. I was surprised it turned out as well as it did!
